My work wife and I like to spoil each other with fine a** work gifts to make working more tolerable. Mainly we like Retro-51 pens but he had to move desks recently and his new desk needed a mouse pad and mine was falling apart. Needless to say this is the nicest leather I have seen in a long long time. It’s satisfying to feel under the hand and leaves the mouse feeling light when gliding over the track pad. Definitely put my name on the back in case someone tries to steal it.
The smell on the leather was overwhelming. I had to put it on the patio for several weeks. I ordered it to get rid of the polyurethane mouse pad due to how bad those are for health and then found this leather one...but whatever they processed it in, smelled toxic also. I finally started using it the other day and the smell is now tolerable. Yikes. The mouse drags a bit on the leather and doesn't work as well as the PU products, but I will not go back to those.
The mouse pad was great, but I had ordered it to match the leather wrist guard and when I returned that, I no longer needed the mouse pad. Was disappointed that they had both come from the same seller, were listed as the same color but didn’t match at all
I absolutely love the look and a feel of this mouse pad. I think the feel will be not be what everyone is looking for. It will ware your mouse feet faster than a textual or neoprene pad would, but no worse than a hard surface mouse pad.
