Good
Slippers or moccasins with soft leather soles are becoming an endangered form of footwear. Soft leather soles offer a uniquely pleasant tactile experience. Barefoot-like ground feel and flexibility, which gets better and better over time as the leather molds into a perfect cast of your feet.
These slippers are made of high-quality leather with careful stitching, and they are handsome and unobtrusive to look at. The soles are soft but sturdy enough to wear to the mailbox on dry days for years and years.
Now the bad news: They are very narrow, and I have very narrow feet! The small openings require a two-handed tug to pull on the slippers—at least at first, you're not going to slip in and out of these easily or often. The cushioned insoles that are provided are as elaborate and extensive as you might find in a pair of sneakers. Unfortunately, the insoles fill up so much interior volume that my narrow size 9-1/2 feet are too tight in size 10's.
Luckily, I'm patient. The stock insoles pop right out, and I had a pair of thin, zero-drop RUN619 insoles on hand. That fixed them, and they are lovely for all-day wear, and will break in nicely.
Well made! The slippers came with little extras that showed a level of care that was really appreciated! Comfortable and without rubber on the bottoms, they do not tear up my wool rugs!
My original order of Size 9 Bourbon Brown
color slippers was delivering though Amazon. In the shipping process they became unreliable and were returned.
I reached out to customer support and they sent me a new pair, they only had size 9 in the Old Tobacco color. This replacement pair arrived very quickly, within a couple days. However they were much too small. I typically wear a size 9 or 9 1/2.
I reached out requesting to exchange for a size 10 and received, again very quickly, a new pair and this time they appear to be the Bourbon Brown color. The size 10 fits much better.
I've worn the slippers now for a week or so. At first the toes were pretty tight, not from the sides, though I wouldn't mind a wider toe box, but from top to bottom. However, they have stretched some and the toes aren't as tight.
The only complaint I have with the slippers is that the opening is a bit too small to simply slip them on. I have to use a shoe horn to get them on, but I also wear socks with my slippers.
However, this small open keeps the slippers snug on my feet and prevents them from dragging on the floor when I walk.
So overall I'm satisfied. The leather is good quality and thick. I expect to use these slippers for several years.
Simplistic design, but very stylish and the reason I bought them. They fit ok in every way except the top tapers down and hits your toe. I wear a size 11, ordered a 12 and had to return them for a 13 which my toe still hits the top a little, not the end, it's not too short. The more I wear them the less noticeable it is. The soles are pretty good and comfortable. They're not the most comfortable slippers, although to be fair, they'll probably get a lot more comfortable as they get broken in. I recommend these super styled leather slippers.
