Moroccan Babouche Slippers

These are so great! You have here some leather slippers that I guess are hand made. I would believe it, they seem high in the craftmanship value. They have a standard amount of cushioning like most slippers. They fit very nicely, like a glove, if you will. The sole and upper are both of the same leather so I guess you could theoretically have some traction problem if you have really slick tiles floors. I have cheap laminate flooring and had no issues with footing, maybe leather does grip enough. The slippers are sized appropriately for what was ordered. Mine arrive with the sole insert sort of popped out, and the leather is fairly tight, but it molds to your foot in a delightful way. There is also an insert from the artisan that in my case was a little ice cream sandwich charm, so that was cute. The only real downside is that they don't breathe at all since they are leather everywhere, so my feet sweat a lot in them and I will have to give them time to air out so as to not ruin them quickly. But very impressive shoe!

These look very nice and I like that they come from a small business. They are also comfortable as slippers. They do not have arch support, but are fine as slippers.
They had a strong smell when I opened them. I usually like the smell of leather. These smelled different and not good to me. I have had them outside in a sheltered place for a week and they now smell less strongly and more like leather. I'm letting them air out some more before I use them. I'm looking forward to wearing them soon.

I typically buy inexpensive slippers, wear them whenever I am home (8 hours a day) and in a year or two they fall apart. Last pair fell apart, saw these and thought they looked sturdy, might last more than a year or two. These exceeded my expectations.

They are leather, as soon as you open the cloth bag, you can smell it is real leather. And the entire outside is leather, no plastic sole here. There is a foam liner, so become more comfortable as they get more broken in. They are pretty comfortable new, but will become moreso as I wear them more. I wear a size 10 and these fit well.

They are a bit more expensive than what I normally buy, but usually do not get real leather. They are sewn well, very good quality. One note is that new leather is very slippery on carpets. As they get more scuffed up on the bottom they will grip better. If you are concerned about this, a bit of gripping sticker on the bottom would help. It is plain leather on inside, so found socks helped comfort level to start. Leather usually gets soften the more you wear it, so may not want socks later, but a bit of that new shoe feel today.

Company went above and beyond, in addition to the carrying bag, included a key chain. Not necessary, but just that little extra to show the pride they put in their products, and to remind you of the company when it is time to replace. No matter how well made, eventually everything does wear out.

The style is a bit different, with a seam on the top, but I am more interested in longevity than style. Don't look bad, just might not have chosen that style if given a choice. Guess that is just personal opinion.

I’m not someone who generally wears slippers, but when I saw these, I thought they may be good to have when needing to do something outside the house and not wanting to wear shoes. These cover your entire foot, more like a shoe than a slipper in my experience. As soon s they came out of the bag, there was a strong smell of leather, so there is no worry about the authenticity of materials being used. These slippers feel as if they should last for quite some time.

There Is One feature that prevents them from being a five star purchase for me. While the memory foam inserts are somewhat comfortable, they would be even more so if they weren’t so narrow, it’s plainly clear with each step that you’re not getting the same amount of cushion on the perimeter of your foot as you are the Center. It’s slightly distracting not receiving equal cushioning throughout your feet. If that issue were corrected, it would take them to the next level.
