I ordered this Hide & Play, Gladiator Shoulder Harness as a part of a Halloween costume. It looks good, is made of leather, and is comfortable. I don't have any complaints.
I liked this harness a lot. It came with a personal little card that gave the person's name that made the piece which was a nice touch. The leather is soft and it fits really well. The pieces are cut with precision and it's easy to put on and comfortable to wear.
I'm wearing this thing tonight, as part of my halloween costume, and fortunately it fits me fine. Could it fit better? Sure. Can I adjust it? Not really. Should I be able to, based on how it looks to be made? Definitely.
I can't understand why it's got multiple adjustment points on the over-she-shoulder pad, if the leather going into them is a riveted loop, and non-adjustable. With just some different hardware, this piece would fit so many more people with adjustability.
Regardless, the leather is nice, and smells fantastic. The rivets keep everything in place (even if I think that's a downfall). Buy with caution. The only adjustment is across ones chest. That's it.
After going through a series of disappointments with products on here that advertised themselves as real leather, stumbling across this was absolute luck.
I needed leather belts and harnesses for a Witcher Halloween costume, and this helped add to the overall look and feel. I was so relieved to open the package and find (and smell) real leather, and also appreciated the extra additions and info cards.
I had already made a sword harness for myself before I found this one, but if I had found this first I'm sure I would have modified it instead. The straps are not especially thick, but the center piece and shoulder strap are fairly sturdy. There is one adjustment point, (just like the one I made), and you can wear it on either shoulder without issue. I may modify it in the future, but I'm quite happy with it and glad to find something that's actually leather for a great price.
This is a wonderfully made piece and the leather is good quality.
Despite appearance, there's no adjustment in the upper, over the shoulder strap - the loop is riveted and can't be moved to the other slots. You've only got the buckle to work with. For me, that was OK, but make sure to check the detailed measurements that are provided in the photos.
