Nice

It’s the same as the Gal company, but with a much affordable price. Like the other reviewer said, it would be perfect if it had just a little more girth. I do get afraid my fountain pens could get banged up. Seller, please add more girth on your next ones, and they will sell like crazy. I would definitely buy another. Great job.

Just keep in mind that this is a soft shell case

I got this case because I wanted a leather case that can hold my A5 sized notebook that also can hold a number of fountain pens for quick journaling. After searching online I found one that fit all the criteria (brand starts with Gal) but it was a little bit too pricy to justify right away. This one had a similar design and was half the price so I bought it. The zipper is YKK zippers so they are solid and durable. There are a lot of pockets to store cards as well as my hobonichi pencil board on the left. And there was lots of loops to place my fountain pens.

However there are things I didn’t like as much.
First the loops were very tight so my thicker pens like my BENU Euphoria did not fit into the four leather loops on the left but it did fit in the two loops in the middle since those were elastic. Another thing I found is that it is a tight fit. When zipping it up, it was really tight and the fountain pens I put into the loops were very tightly pressed against the notebooks. Inside I had a A5 jumping fox notebook and it felt like anything thicker would not fit when the thing is zipped up. This leads to a significant bulge when it is closed and loaded with pens and notebooks which makes me feel not as comfortable using it to travel because I feel like my pens are susceptible to be squashed if any force is applied to the case. I do hope the leather expands and loosens up with time so that the pen loop can hold thicker pens like the Lamy safari and BENU pens, also I hope that the pens would have a little space between it and the notebook so that it doesn’t get squashed into the notebook when the zipper is zipped

Finally, a slim journal A5 leather cover! WITH pens inside!

The biggest problem I had (had because I now have this item) is that journal covers would hold h to e journal fine, but good luck getting the pens etc to also be in the zipped case. And they were bulky. TBH I was thinking that this would be similar but I loaded up the pens AND highlighters in and it zips just fine (sticks a bit but you can smell the leather and how new it is). Mine came with a tag telling me who made it and where it was made, a nice personal touch. The back flap is cut to make it easy to get your journal tucked in and pull it out when switching notebooks. The leather will give and stretch as you (if you’re anything like me) overload it and use it. Just so pleased as punch with this, if it came in other colors I’d buy every one of them. Also this cover is about half the cost of similar products so I’m all around thrilled with this. I probably will buy another one for my personal bullet journal!

I wish it had more girth.

Love it! ... BUT ... I wish it had more girth. I cannot fit my double wire A5 notebook in it along with the 4 pen pouch thing.

A5 leather notebook holder

OK, I guess.

I'd been coveting a Galen Leather one but couldn't justify the price then I found this one with reviews comparing it to the Galen Leather one so I bought it.

I'm underwhelmed if I'm honest. I can't find a use for most of the slots and I find that my pens that are stored in it create dints in my notebook cover. Hoping the whole thing will soften with use because it's very rigid.

Will edit this review if I grow to like it.
